New Loft by Brussels Airlines: Corian® Solid Surface furnishings help enhancing the customers’ experience

June 2018 – Since its inauguration in October 2014, The Loft by Brussels Airlines welcomed more than 1.5 million travelers departing from Pier A at Brussels Airport. Today the airline increases the capacity of its unique lounge concept with 66% to a total of 2040 m², making it possible to welcome 500 travelers. But besides an enlarged physical space, The Loft now offers also new innovative experiences, for which Brussels Airlines has partnered up with quality brands among which the premium surfacing material Corian® Solid Surface.

Corian® Solid Surface has been widely used across the world for the most innovative and high profile public spaces since many years. Its inherent qualities can fulfil the needs of creating spaces design requiring minimal maintenance and a pleasant usability for the guests. In the new Loft by Brussels Airlines the versatility of Corian® Solid Surface – in the Glacier White colour - is well represented as it has been used for both horizontal and vertical surfaces throughout the lounge. Taking advantage of the material endless possibilities in terms of form, Corian® Solid Surface has been thermoformed, seamlessly jointed for the larger worktops, combined with other materials and integrated with wireless recharge technology for electronic devices.

The furnishing installations created with Corian® Solid Surface include an outstanding kitchen island, a large meeting table, office desks, coffee tables, a cocktail bar as well as pillars and wall cladding. The white pristine colour contrasts with wood and other materials, contributing to design a comfortable, warm lounge area that lives up with the users expectations.
